Competive advantage is based (classicly) on Porter's 5 forces. Barriers to entry, strength of suppliers, strength of buyers, threat of substitutes, and rivalry all apply to Apple as a niche player in a large market. The stupidity of Real is best seen in light of strategy. They were basically asking Apple to forego any above normal profits (from the iPod) by opening the iPod to substitution and rivalry.

As far as a Yahoo bar for firefox is concerned, I give that a Honduran uuuhuuUUh. Bryan knows what sound I just made. Such a thing worries me as augury of spyware/adware on my favorite browser.

As for my link, I wrote that last night in parallel with my religion/business class midterm. My brain was cranking out the BS for the midterm (which was to be a fruity treatise on religion and business life), but I withheld my true insights for my personal blog.
