The Apple Powerbook 100 has been chosen as the greatest gadget of all time, by US magazine Mobile PC.

The net is abuzz with expectation as the world's first "wireless iPod" seems to be a step closer after a radio interview given to Radio France by Motorola's manager for automobile products.

Meh, all that bluetooth on an iPod means is that there will be one less white wire hanging around. Unless they get some sort of wireless P2P functionality, sorta like sharing your iTunes library on the school network, then the bluetooth functionality will just be an expensive add-on. Now if they do add P2P functionality, and someone hacks it like OurTunes, then I would just walk around campus one day and have my iPod filled to capacity. Of course there would be way too much MoTab and Peter Breinholt - ick.

As far as the powerbook being number one of ALL TIME(?!), I think the billion or so people in China would argue, considering the abacus only made it to 60. The author was probably a 26th-level Mac disciple of the Scottish Rite.

i put a new link to an article that expands on the potential of a bluetooth ipod. i hope its a lot more than just wireless syncing. im sure that wireless earbuds would be released if not by apple by some third party vendor. hopefully...

matt, you must be friends with siuah who commented

i as well only really care about bluetooth headphones. though, today when i hooked up my digicam in class i though how cool it would be to have a bluetooth one to download the photos wirelessly, i guess it would be cool to have a bluetooth powerbook as well :P

but seriously... if apple and everyone else not only thought of bluetooth as wireless USB but manufactured accordingly that would be really cool and open up a lot of possibilities.
