Hardly 1984-esque. Big deal if those limey bastard Brits are worried that their 10-foot-radius pirate radio broadcast will get them into hot water.
You should really read 1984 before you continue accusing everything of being Orwellian.
LOL... the subject wasnt 1984 because i thought that it was sincerely an example in our day of something from that book. it was more because it was the first thing that popped into my head and i probably wouldnt have even have typed a subject but ive been asked to, so i thought i would.
1984... its funny and easy to say that something is reminiscent of the book 1984. its like calling someone a nazi or hitler just because they dont agree with you. and its especially funny when you havent even read the book.
but yes, i do think its a completely stupid law like many stupid laws they have in the UK
